Let’s break down some skincare terms…

Whether you're a seasoned beauty enthusiast or just starting to explore the world of skincare and cosmetics, this blog aims to demystify the jargon and buzzwords that can often feel overwhelming.


Here is a breakdown on all those words you may of seen across our skincare pages or our products and not quite understood…


Antioxidants - Compounds that stop oxidation from occurring, in terms of skin they protect the skin by neutralising free radicals.


Collagen - the most abundant protein found in the body it’s known for giving strength and structure along with elastin, majority of our products help plump collagen along with our LED treatments.


Enzyme - a substance produced by a living organism that acts as a catalyst to bring about a specific biochemical reaction in the body. We offer enzyme painless peels combined with LED to help renew and protect the skin along with brightening the skin.


Hyperpigmentation- when melanin is overproduced in a particular area of the skin. Examples include age spots, sun spots along with acne marks.


Lymphatic System - the system of the lymph vessels that transports lymph towards your heart and helps to get rid of toxins/ waste from our bodies.


Melanin - a pigment that gives our skin cells, eyes and hair colour.


Peptides - amino acids send prompts for the skin to create collagen along with other things within the body. Each peptide does something different with not all peptides being beneficial to the skin.
